Ten identical versions of an antique portrait image of a Shakespeare actor have been digitally produced as sumptuous reproductions of the original print. Different versions of a four colour separation image of flames have been added to the lower half of the prints but registration problems render the ‘flames’ as different hues of half-tone texture. The portrait of Mr. John Hare’s combines technology from different centuries and is reminiscent of the ghost-like photographs of the Victorian era.
