360 video documentation of Virtual reality Experience Oculus Quest, 5 min 25 sec, 2019/2023
Visitors are taken on a journey through an apocalyptic and beautiful winter forest that is inhabited by creatures part human, partly beast and part mythological and of no particular race or gender. The Forest of Query is timeless and could have existed in the past or future after a period of climate change or a nuclear disaster.
The work was inspired by Caspar David Friedrich’s romantic yet surreal landscape paintings and an artist residency at the Mac Dowell Colony of the Arts in Peterborough, New Hampshire in 2018
